Endowments
In an endowment, the principal of each contribution is never spent. It is always invested so that the income and appreciation of the investment is available for the purpose of the endowment…forever! It is a very special way to support specific educational priorities, and to remember individuals in a lasting and meaningful way. GIEF Endowments are:
Kristin A. Connors Endowment for S.T.E.M. Studies
The Kristin A. Connors Endowment for S.T.E.M. Studies is to support the educational purposes of the Grosse Ile Township Schools in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Edward F. Mayne, Jr. Endowment
The Edward F. Mayne, Jr. Endowment Fund offers support to the Grosse Ile Township Schools in achieving the best teacher practices and securing the best possible teachers. It provides teachers with extended opportunities for training, research, and projects.
Anthony M. Dubuar Endowment
The Anthony M. Dubuar Endowment Fund is to be used to support the educational purposes of the Grosse Ile Township Schools and the Community in the areas of Health, Physical Education, and Fitness Programs.
Steve Sims Leadership Awards
The Steve Sims Leadership Awards in the amount of $2500, are given to both a female and male senior scholar athlete who have earned a Varsity letter while demonstrating leadership qualities in their school, community, and athletic activities. The monetary awards are to be used towards expenses incurred at an educational institution of higher learning.
